School Resource Officer DivisionThe first function of a School Resource Officer (SRO) is that of a Law Enforcement Officer. If an incident arises at a school that requires law enforcement involvement, the assigned SRO handles it. The second responsibility is that of an educator. SRO's are responsible for teaching classes that include subjects such as; School Safety, Crime Prevention and Conflict Resolution. Demonstrations are held and other law related topics are covered as well. The third responsibility is that of a Counselor. Students may come to the SRO with problems that they do not feel comfortable discussing with school officials.SRO's also participate in many of the school activities. We encourage input from the community, parents and students alike. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments please do not hesitate to contact a SRO. SRO's are assigned to Hillcrest Middle School (864.355.6100), Bryson Middle School (864.355.2100) and Hillcrest High School (864.355.3500).
