Hello, my name is Chad Bright and I am the School Resource Officer (SRO) for Bryson Middle School.  In January 2001, I was hired by the Simpsonville Police Department as a uniformed patrol officer and served the Simpsonville community in that capacity until August 2003, when I became a SRO.  While I enjoyed working as a patrol officer, I welcomed the opportunity to work with the Greenville County School District.

Upon graduating from Eastside High School, I attended Anderson College and Greenville Technical College.  Because of the positive experiences I had throughout my education, I now realize the importance of a safe and protected environment for students.  As SRO of Bryson Middle School, it is my goal to ensure this safe environment, not only for the students, but also for the faculty and staff.  In order to achieve this goal, I understand that I need to earn their trust and respect, not only as their SRO, but also as a friend and a counselor.  My plans also include educating the students, faculty and staff on matters that concern law enforcement so we can work together to become a stronger school and community.
